The Archdiocesan Education Office has held a three-day symposium for the primary and secondary schools at Mang’u Boys School, Thika.
This annual event saw all student leaders from their respective public and private school clusters attend with their teachers. The guest speakers; Mr. Samuel Kanja, a trained psychologist, and Dr. Njoki Freinandez, the Chief Executive Officer of Kenya’s Medical Association graced the occasion by sharing life experiences and training the cohorts on good leadership skills.
The students were cautioned on procrastination in their studies but urged on hard work, excellence, and fairness in service delivery in their respective schools.
Archbishop Philip Anyolo who graced the second day of the event, urged the pupils to stand strong in their faith and spread it to others through acts of mercy and charity. “This is being a good Christian,” he said. John Cardinal Njue, the Archbishop Emeritus celebrated the Eucharist on the last day. He urged the students to be hardworking and not succumb to peer pressure, rather, for them to be of good moral upstanding and bring unity and peace to their respective schools.
