THE ANNUAL YCA CULTURAL DAY
The Young Catholic Adults, (YCA) celebrated the annual Cultural Day at Don Bosco Catholic Church Upper Hill with a focus on promoting cultural heritage and values among young people. The event commenced with the Holy Mass, led by the Archdiocesan Youth Chaplain Fr. Victor Mbuthia, and concelebrated by Fr. Dominic Mwangi, the assistant youth chaplain and youth chaplains from various deaneries.
During the event, Fr. Dominic delivered a compelling message, encouraging the youth to embrace their diverse cultures and uphold the core values passed down by their families and society. He emphasized the significance of staying connected to their roots, especially as many of them are preparing to start families and build their future.
The cultural day featured vibrant and authentic performances by the youths, dressed in traditional attire, proudly showcasing their heritage and cultural identity. The event served as a platform for the youth to come together, celebrate their cultural richness, and foster a sense of unity within the community.
As a result of their outstanding performances, the Western Deanery secured the first position, earning them a trophy. Followed by the Kikuyu and Ruaraka deaneries.
