LEGIONARIES FROM EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITIES MEET IN NAIROBI
Legionaries drawn from across the country and the East African countries converged at St. Mary’s Msongari grounds to celebrate their annual Mass.
The Mass saw members from the Senatus in Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania attend to continue in prayers for the veneration of their founder Edel Quinn an Irish-born Roman Catholic lay-missionary and Envoy of the Legion of Mary to East Africa.
Bishop Wallace Ng’ang’a, auxiliary bishop of Nairobi, provoked their call by stating, “It is not enough to live a Christian life without leaving a mark on others. As legionaries, guide those who are lost from the Charisms of this movement and do not let the digitized world we now are in destroy that which we represent. Do not be misled,” he said.
They were encouraged to recruit more members’ especially young people to keep the movement alive, especially in the future albeit recognizing and appreciating the blessings present amidst the many challenges.
