ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI PARISH MWIHOKO CONSECRATED
Archbishop Philip Anyolo, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Nairobi, led the consecration of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Mwihoko, marking a significant milestone for the new parish. The event brought together parishioners and clergy to celebrate the dedication of the church as a sacred space for worship.
During the homily, Archbishop Anyolo called on the faithful to view the consecration as a moment to renew their own commitment to holiness and unity. “This church is not just a structure for sacraments but a place where the community gathers to grow in faith and care for one another. By embracing this sacred connection, the Church and its community will flourish spiritually,” he said.
He encouraged the congregation to support one another, especially the poor, orphans, and those in need, highlighting this as the essence of Christian identity. “Seek holiness by living as a united family, showing care for one another, and supporting those in need among you,” he urged.
The Archbishop also emphasized the importance of humility and simplicity in faith, urging Christians to approach their spiritual journey with a childlike heart. “Return to childlike humility and simplicity in seeking the Kingdom of God. This mindset will keep the Church vibrant and marriages alive, fulfilling Christ’s mission on earth,” he added.
