Evangelization through Music
St Achille’s Kiwanuka, an outstation of St. Mulumba parish – Thika hosted a total of 32 Jumuiyas who participated in a music competition. The theme of the set-piece and folk song revolved around the Patron Saints of the eight outstations.
Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Gitau, Assistant Fr. in-charge Mulumba parish. In his homily, he praised the initiative of the competition and said that it is meant to praise God and enhance unity in the Jumuiyas.
The top three winning Jumuiyas in the set-piece were: St Francis Xavier, St. Martin and St. A. Bazekuketa. They were each handed a trophy and a goat.

The winning teams will proceed for finals on 21st May at St. Matia Mulumba Parish
The day was fun-filled and Christians enjoyed it. We are thankful to Rev. Fr. Peter Mburu for initiating this noble project.
