CWA IN THE ARCHDIOCESE CELEBRATES THE FEAST OF ANNUNCIATION OF THE LORD.
Catholic Women’s Association in the Archdiocese have been urged to remain prayerful as Mother Mary and to be positive transformers in society and in their families. This exhortation was made by Archbishop Philip Anyolo during the CWA Feast of Annunciation celebrations held at St. Mary’s Msongari grounds.
“You are the door of faith in the family, society, and the world. You are called to help and carry life to others. I urge you to serve God with the love and mercy instilled in you so that others may see His goodness through your actions. This can only be when you are found in silence and in prayer be it in your suffering or in celebration,” he said.
Fr. Jude Waweru who is the CWA chaplain while giving the homily, called on the women to bring their families closer, more so their children in the current times. This he said hinting at the ongoing heated debate in the world on LGBTQ recognition in society. He said, “It is easy to dilute faith if we kill the families, the war launched against us is calls for all to fight for our faith. Come closer to your children by knowing what they are up to, be it in school or at home.”
The event was attended by over 15,000 women spread across the archdiocese as they also witnessed 2000 women commissioned to the archdiocese.
