ST. AUGUSTINE JUJA CELEBRATES PARISH FAMILY DAY AND JUBILEE WEDDINGS
Twenty-five couples exchanged vows during the St. Augustine Parish Family Day in Juja, which incorporated Jubilee Wedding celebrations held at the parish. The auspicious occasion was led by Archbishop Philip Anyolo, who encouraged the couples to remain the “salt” of their marriages, emphasizing the social impact of their relationship in carrying the faith through future generations.
“The sacrament of marriage calls for commitment. For the Church, it is vital to the continuity of proclaiming the Gospel within the Archdiocese. Your decision here today to be committed to each other will be the light in your marriage, for you are the salt in your marriage. Give it the flavor of God’s presence. Even in the blessings bestowed on you, guide them in the ways of Christ,” the Archbishop said.
He further urged the couples to respect one another, noting that mutual respect forms the foundation of a lasting marriage.
St. Augustine Parish is led by Rev. Fr. Patrick Ndung’u, the parish priest, and Rev. Fr. Bernard Njuguna, the assistant parish priest.
