ALL SAINTS PARISH RIARA CELEBRATES FAMILY DAY WITH MASS WEDDING OF OVER 50 COUPLES
All Saints Parish Riara marked Family Day with a grand celebration at Ndumberi Stadium yesterday, where over 50 couples were joined in holy matrimony. The event was presided over by Archbishop Philip Anyolo.
In his homily, Archbishop Anyolo emphasized the sacredness of marriage, describing it as a precious gift from God. He encouraged the couples to honor their union as a foundation for a lifetime of faith and love, stating that through marriage, they become part of the “generation that seeks the face of Christ.” He reminded the newlyweds that their commitment is not just to one another but also to God, and that their journey together should be centred on Christ’s teachings and love.
The vibrant celebration brought together family members, friends, and the parish community to witness and support the newlyweds as they embarked on this sacred journey. Joyful hymns, prayers, and the exchange of vows marked the occasion.
As the couples begin their new lives together, the parish and Christians pray that “these couples may find joy in each other’s presence, strength in each other’s support, and hope in each other’s faith, always inspired by God’s boundless love,” Archbishop Anyolo shared. The event not only highlighted the significance of marriage but also reinforced the collective mission of the Church to nurture and uphold Christian family values. Congratulations to all the newlyweds!
