ARCHDIOCESE OF NAIROBI CLERGY VISIT KIRIKO SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR ANNUAL LENTEN CHARITY
The clergy of the Archdiocese of Nairobi visited Kiriko Special School in Mang’u as part of their annual Lenten charity initiative, which highlights the spirit of prayer, repentance, and almsgiving.
Food donations were collected through the deaneries across the Archdiocese, with deans representing over 200 priests delivering the generous contributions to the school. The visit was a warm expression of living out the Year of Jubilee by spreading hope and compassion.
The day was filled with joy, laughter, and lively songs as the children danced and celebrated the warm gesture of love extended to them.
Kiriko Special School was established in 1998 as part of Kiriko School and was officially designated a special school in 2000. Since then, it has steadily grown and now serves 77 students. The school uses a stage-based assessment model tailored to the individual abilities and needs of its learners, rather than a conventional academic-based system.
