THE CHURCH MARKS THE 59TH WORLD COMMUNICATION DAY
Catholic communicators in the Archdiocese of Nairobi gathered at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Thika, to celebrate the 59th World Day of Social Communications. Mass was led by Bishop Wallace Ng’ang’a, Bishop of the Military Ordinariate of Kenya and Chair of the Commission for Social Communications, KCCB.
In the homily, Bishop Wallace urged all present to become true vessels of the Good News: “Let us be vessels of Good News, using every word, image, and message for the greater glory of God’s name. May our voices build up, not tear down; inspire, not divide. Let us be bearers of light in every corner, using the gift of communication to uplift the Body of Christ and speak truth with love.”
The celebration also marked the formal announcement of Fr. Gerald Omunyin (CECC) as the new National Executive Secretary for the Commission for Social Communications at the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB).
