FR. JOSEPH MOKAYA MARKS 50 YEARS OF PRIESTLY MINISTRY
Buruburu Parish marked a special milestone during its Family Day celebrations as Fr. Joseph Mokaya commemorated 50 years of priestly ministry. The Golden Jubilee Mass was presided over by Archbishop Philip Anyolo, with His Eminence John Cardinal Njue, Bishop David Kamau, and numerous clergy concelebrating.
In his homily, Bishop David Kamau hailed Fr. Mokaya as a “true shepherd and healer” who has faithfully walked with the people of God for half a century. He lauded Fr. Mokaya’s unique blend of deep theological knowledge and pastoral humility, noting that despite holding a doctorate, he has remained grounded and steadfast in his priestly calling.
Archbishop Anyolo expressed his joy and appreciation, saying, “We are very happy for you as one who guides us with wisdom and hope.”
The Archdiocese extended heartfelt congratulations to Fr. Mokaya on his extraordinary golden jubilee, praying for abundant blessings in gratitude for his decades of devoted service.
