AMECEA LAUNCH A SYNODALITY FORMATION MANUAL
The Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa (AMECEA) has launched a Synodality Formation Manual and Synodality Songs in an event held at Donum Dei, Karen.
This event marks an important milestone in the implementation and promotion of the Synodal spirit within the East African region. It also marks as a significant step as the synodal journey begun by Pope Francis moves into its implementation phase.
The manual serves as a comprehensive guide for dioceses, providing clarity on how the Church will carry forward the fruits of the Synod and ensuring that the faithful are empowered to participate effectively in their respective roles during this new phase. It is intended to support dioceses in implementing synodality while reducing confusion and strengthening coordination across the region.
AMECEA countries include Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia, united in their commitment to walking together as a synodal Church.
